Western Sidereal and Vedic Astrology is the original system for calculating the movement of the heavens since ancient times. Our first calendars were Lunar based and later became a Solar/Lunar hybrid. The Moon plays a crucial role in our life as it travels through the Lunar mansions of the Zodiac. Seasonal, or popular astrology, does not use the Lunar mansion system in calculating horoscopes.
Vedic astrology also uses divisional charts when examining a birth chart can reveal the uniqueness of each individual's experiences in life. That system breaks down each thirty degree sign into smaller bits to see the strength of each planet in each house. Western Tropical, or Seasonal Astrology, does not use these highly articulated divisional chart systems in their horoscopes. That is why interpretations for Tropical astrology come out general and not tailored to each individuals birth chart. The divisional system will tell you how strong a planet will perform across all the different areas of you life.
